What is a Focusing & Mindfulness?
Focusing & Mindfulness in Practice
My therapeutic approach gently weaves together mindfulness and Focusing, a body-centered practice developed by Eugene Gendlin. Rather than rushing to analyze or “fix” what you’re feeling, this work invites you to slow down and listen to the quiet wisdom held within your body.
Through mindful awareness, we create space to notice thoughts, emotions, sensations, and patterns with curiosity and compassion. Focusing deepens this process by helping you connect with your felt sense, the subtle, often wordless knowing that lives beneath the surface of your experience.
When we learn to pause and listen inwardly, clarity often emerges naturally. This approach can support emotional healing, nervous system regulation, self-trust, and deeper alignment with your authentic self. It is a gentle yet profound process of learning to hear the wisdom your body has carried all along.
